How To Organize A Cub Scout Den
(I’m a new Den Leader … What do I do now ?)
- Get Trained !
- Den meeting should be scheduled once per week. Meetings are typically
1 hour long, 7PM -to- 8PM
- Meeting can be held in one of two places:
- In the Cub Scout’s home. Rotate between different homes so each scout
gets to host the meeting
- At Ocean Palms. Call the Cub Master to schedule.
- Read the book (Tiger Cub, Wolf, Bear, or Webelos) - plan out your activities
ahead of time.
- Schedule weekend Den activities (Hikes, trips to the museum, fire station,
etc.)
- Get several assistants. It helps to have two or more parents assist
the Den Leader with activities.
- Den Leaders must register. Fill out the Adult Leader form.
